the workshops will focus on how the digital cinema inform and evolve the visual language in artistic expression and personal transformation.

Arab Media lab project / Digital Marrakech will organize several workshops on production of digital cinema: (films, video and media art work). These workshops will be about many issues of the production like basic elements of preproduction, production and postproduction, screenplay development etc. The methods are usually hands on the new Camera's ( Canon ) and the participants have many opportunities to work practically on specific exercises, small assignments like developing a story, preparing a storyboard, filming and editing, under supervision of many media professionals. The workshops will be open for any participants who are interested in digital cinema, media art, film and video productions. It will be sponsored by CANON Middle East.

ARAB MEDIA LAB WORKSHOPS SERIES IN MOROCCO is a symposium on Digital Cinema and HD Film production. The training programme is designed for young filmmakers and new talents who want to explore digital cinema in a wide range of experimentation. It provides in-depth information on every step along an entirely digital production chain, on new digital production tools and workflows.

    the 4th and the 5th Series was organized during the Digital Marrakech festival fromthe 6th until the 8th of December 2012, they were two workshops: SOUND DESIGN animated by Micheal Fakech and a master class STEADICAM VOLUME 1

    WORKSHOP # 3

    In collaboration with Graphic and Media Design departement at ESAV ( école supérieure des arts visuels, marrakech), the 3rd serie Digital cinema workshop took place from the 9th until the 14th April 2012 . The focus was the Stop Motion Techniques animted by the German filmmaker Rouven BLANKENFELD

    WORKSHOP # 2

    The 2nd workshop was from 20 to 25 Februray and around the ability of Canon 5D Mark II and 7D to produce work in full HD.

    The German Filmmaker Rouven BLANKENFELD lead this 2nd workshop. Participants had the opportunity to learn the digital cinema, HD feature and documentary film productions that are exemplary of current digital best practice. The Masterclass took place at RYAD YIMA-MARRAKECH, MOROCCO. Many short films were produced by the participants during the 5 days workshop.

    WORKSHOP # 1

    The 1st workshop was during three days around the ability of Canon 5D Mark II and 7D to produce work in full HD.

    The German Filmmaker Sandeep MEHTA lead this 1st workshop. He presented different examples of his own work that was shot with CANON 5D MARKII and 7D. A video clip was produced by the participants during the 3 days workshop.
